Nate is a graduate of James Cook University, where he completed his Master’s degree specializing in formulated feed development for spiny lobsters. With over three years of experience at the Tropical Aquafeed Innovations Lab, Nate contributes a versatile skill set to aquaculture nutrition research and development.
He is highly skilled in formulated feed manufacturing and feed extrusion technologies, and he thrives on the challenge of optimizing diets for a variety of tropical species, including lobsters, redclaw, grouper, emperors, sea urchins, and more. Nate's expertise extends to designing and building innovative recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and experimental tank setups tailored to meet the unique demands of research projects and feed trials.
In addition to his technical abilities, Nate possesses in-depth knowledge of analytical methods for feed evaluation, making him a key contributor to the lab’s success in advancing tropical aquaculture nutrition.
